BASSM exists to raise up disciples who are walking in freedom and wholeness, in healthy community, and being deeply transformed by the love and power of God, are passionately reconciling the world to the Father.

Gathering Around His Presence

At BASSM, we are intentional about maintaining a singular focus on Him, keeping Jesus at the center of all we do, and passionately pursuing Him at all costs. Our training and equipping is influenced deeply by this value. It leads to a powerful and exciting environment, charged with unlimited potential, as we surrender ourselves to be shaped by His presence, allowing Him to rewrite our definition of what’s possible. 

Raising Leaders. Reigning in Life. Restoring Cities.

At BASSM, we use these three markers as our gauge of progress. Are we raising leaders? Are we reigning in life? Are we restoring cities? This is Bethel Atlanta’s mission, and apart from gathering around His presence, it is our top priority. It is from these focal points that we hone our programs, offerings, curriculum, activations, and delivery. Our specialized micro-schools are carefully crafted to serve these overarching goals. 

Micro-Schools

Micro-schools are short, accessible, specialized, and outcome oriented training experiences.

Specialized and Outcome Oriented

School curriculum is finely-tuned and designed to have a narrow focus. This enables students to integrate lessons into their daily life in a more focused and intentional manner. It also minimizes the feeling of overwhelm that can be associated with the “drinking from a firehose” approach. 

Curriculum and activations prioritize impact and life integration. Self-assessments, feedback loops, and student interviews are critical tools in defining the structured pathways that best enable students to succeed in their lifestyle and learning goals. 

Our teaching approach leans more into activation and practice than lecture and theory. It consists of:

  • Impartation/Teaching – Students receive from instructors.
  • Activation – Students put what they received into practice.
  • Accountability – Students process what worked and what didn’t in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Integration – Students are challenged to continue practicing, disrupting their lifestyle “norms” by incorporating lessons into their daily life. 

Our specialized and focused approach supports this method because it allows for reinforcement over time. Instead of constantly switching topics, we maintain a narrow focus. This allows us to loop through lessons, revisiting them in different contexts over time. 

Short and Accessible

Schools range from 12 weeks to 24 weeks. 24 week schools are typically broken down into two 12 week parts with ample time for rest and assimilation between the two. 

This structure paired with fine-tuned and highly focused curriculum creates a “nutrient-dense” experience that enables students to integrate their learning into everyday life. 

Delivery is accessibility focused, which is why:

  • Class times are in the evenings (excluding Sunday),
  • Class is only three days per week (including Sunday),
  • We have minimal, but effective, out-of-class requirements,
  • We make class recordings available for students to rewatch, and
  • We offer an online option when possible.

Spirit-Led

We put an immense amount of time and effort into curriculum, structure, delivery, assessment, and all the aspects of creating an effective environment for growth and transformation. While we will continue to do so, we do so knowing that none of our time and effort can compare to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and the life of every student. 

It is with great joy that we hold this tension and walk hand-in-hand with Him through each and every school, ready and eager to adjust and respond as He leads. 

I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.

Supernatural Encounter

  • We prioritize God’s manifest presence in every endeavor. Our actions and affections revolve around Him.
  • We boldy pursue spiritual gifts to facilitate intimate encounters with the Father and bring His reality to the world.
  •  We strategically create opportunities for individuals to receive and steward prophetic words, which direct our course and foster a dynamic relationship with the Holy Spirit.
  • We cultivate a radical hunger for the supernatural and a lifestyle of demonstrating His power, focused on His presence permeating every aspect of life.

Healthy Family

  • We fiercely protect safety, vulnerability, and honesty in all relationships. This is the foundation for real connection, breaking unhealthy patterns, and launching courageous, God-inspired dreams.
  • We prioritize brave communication and honest feedback to build strong, authentic relationships and achieve deeper connection.
  • We purposely build a community where everyone feels seen, known, loved, and celebrated. Seeing others through the Father’s eyes and accepting them without reservation unlocks their God-given potential.
  • We actively defend and strengthen our relationships; they are indispensable for a thriving community and personal wholeness. 

Transformational Growth

  • We ground all spiritual gifts and encounters in healthy community and solid biblical foundations. This helps ensure sustainable, holistic, and comprehensive personal transformation.
  • We relentlessly drive holistic growth in spirit, soul, and body to forge Christ-like character and empower individuals to maintain transformed lifestyles.
  • We elevate character development and a robust private history with God above public displays of gifting. These are non-negotiable for sustained health, endurance, and impactful legacy.
  • We rigorously commit to studying, understanding, and applying the Bible. Its teachings are paramount to experiencing God’s fullness and cultivating the mind of Christ.
  • We systematically provide opportunities to apply learned skills and process failure constructively within a supportive framework. This is fundamental to effective discipleship, wholeness, and mastering learning through risk.

Kingdom Impact

  • We actively equip individuals to identify and fulfill their unique God given assignments. Our mandate is to see Heaven’s culture released and tangible, positive change effected on Earth.
  • We instill a mindset focused on long-term Kingdom lifestyle, prioritizing sustainable impact over short-term gains. Our commitment is to build a legacy that honors God.
  • We require leaders to authentically model what they teach. This is essential for empowering others to live out the Kingdom message effectively and for maintaining genuine integrity.
  • We serve with a king’s heart and lead with a servant’s hand. This is our strategic method for deploying Heaven’s culture, values, and solutions in our spheres of influence.
